| Late-Semester Presentation Assignment |
Students will present about a major resort area or chain
1. Research about all the various major resorts, resort-areas
and resort-chains (such as Sandals) in this world.
2. Choose one of those to make your report on.
Don't choose one of your own country!
3. Tell Prof. Mason your choice of Resort -- by Sept 28th.

First-come, first-serve -- register soon -- If more than two try to choose the same
resort area or chain as topic, Mason will say no; you have to choose another.
4. Research all-about your chosen Resort area or chain --
why is it a major success in the global market?
What is its history?
What are its attractions, within or nearby?
Who are its targeted clients, and what is its "atmosphere"?
What do the tourists usually do there?
How are its reviews, and is its business flourishing?
What are the notable characteristics of its management?
What socio-political issues and problems is it having?
5. Prepare a presentation of about 10 minutes long (9~11),
showing all these factors of that place, area or company.
Use PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.
Act as-if you are presenting to a large Tourist Agency in your
country, about whether or not they should send tourist there.
6. We will hold these presentations in the classes of October
24 ~ December -- 5 students per day.
You can choose your date to do it on! If there is opening.
7. On the day of your presentation, give Prof. Mason a 2-page
summary of your report. (no photos).
8. Mason will judge you on English accuracy and vocabulary,
presentation skills, professionalism and content quality. See Below!
